Fantasy animation film based on the novel in verse by A.Pushkin and the opera by P.Tchaikovsky “Eugene Onegin”. It is the original story about a famous animation director, who has been in love with Pushkin’s poetry since his childhood and has an idea to make a film based on the Pushkin novel. After receiving bad news about his health he makes final decision! Together with his favorite cat he flies to Russia and stays in the magical “Onegin” Hotel, where everything is ready for immersion into Pushkin’s world. The movie is dedicated to puppet director Barry Purves. The film is created in the unique author’s technique – frame-by-frame animation, processing of live action blanks on glass.
