Kenneth, a devoted tour guide at the Arberloch visitor centre, spends his days embodying the town’s famed historical figure, Sir Douglas Weatherford, an 18th-century philosopher and inventor he proudly claims as an ancestor. But when Arberloch is taken over by the production of a lavish fantasy series, 'The White Stag of Emberfell', the visitor centre is suddenly transformed into an Emberfell fan attraction. As costumed fans flood the village and the traditions Kenneth holds dear are brushed aside, his sense of identity begins to fracture.
